Causation vs. Correlation

In the spirit of a new school year, I wanted to discuss the topic of causation versus correlation. Before my schedule was fixed, I had a physics class for a week. At first I was inclined to just let the information go in one ear and out the next due to my schedule being mixed up. I thought, "None of this matters." However, when the teacher taught the similarities and differences of correlation and causation, I somehow made it applicable to life.

Other than the normal data correlations/causations, these words have meaning in our life. What factors are causing you to do something, and what factors correlate with other areas of your life?

This post is nothing special or large, but it's just something to think about.
